Well, Ivy Lane now carries this new, amazing product. Tempaper is a self-adhesive, “peel-and-stick”, temporary wallpaper that eliminates the need for paste or water. YAY! Tempaper comes in the most current, on-trend, beautiful design patterns and the company is always looking to add new patterns to their already great selection.
It’s easy to apply. We applied Tempaper on an accent wall at the shop and we simply removed the backing and placed on the wall. The best tool for applying Tempaper is your hands. Tempaper should be applied to primed and painted surfaces.
Tempaper is a high impact design choose that is fun without the long term commitment of permanent wallpaper. Perfect for renters or for people like me who like to change things up in their home.

It is best (and recommended) that Tempaper be applied on paint that is an eggshell or satin finish. Matte or flat painted surfaces are not not recommended, likely because the Tempaper may grab on too hard and not come off as easily. Glossy walls my be too slick for Tempaper to stick properly.
Here’s a quick list of what you need; however, it is important to note full instructions do come with each:
- Measurements – how much paper do you need for your space and accounting for the repeat of the pattern
- Straight edge razor
- Cutting area
- Ladder for full wall coverage
Now, our experience was fun. Below we share pictures of the wall we applied Tempaper to at our shop in Newburyport, MA. It took us approximately 2 hours to complete this wall. It was great to have my partner, Cheryl, with me as our wall is 8 feet tall and she could hand me the paper while I was on top of the ladder. We thought this product was easy to work with and forgiving. I used my hands to smooth the paper and push out air bubbles. Ivy’s wall project cost approximately $198. For $198, this product made a huge difference in the shop.

Bathroom Application
Tempaper can be applied in bathrooms or areas where there is steam or indirect moisture. Tempaper is a water-based product therefore the adhesive will not be affected by humidity.
Roll Size
Tempaper is sold in 1 roll of 20.5”w x 33’ or 11 yds., 56.37 sq ft. We do not sell smaller roll sizes. Tempaper custom is sold in 1 roll of 20.5”w x 16.5’ or 5.5 yds, 28.18 sq ft.
Textured Surfaces
Tempaper cannot be applied to textured surfaces. Tempaper should be applied to smooth surfaces that are in good condition.
Wall Preparation & Measurements
Tempaper is recommended for smooth surfaces that are in good condition. Tempaper may be applied to any primed and painted surface such as walls, doors, interiors, tiles, or wherever your creative mind takes you. It is recommended that you apply Tempaper to surfaces that have been painted with an eggshell or satin finish. You may apply Tempaper in bathroom spaces. Indirect moisture will not affect Tempaper’s performance. Tempaper is made in the U.S.A. and sold in a roll of 20.5″ w x 33′ for a total of 56.37 square feet.
